Project Details:

This project transformed a nearly 26,000 square foot metal warehouse building into a suitable location for the Employee Health / Community Clinic, Eye Clinic, Behavioral Health Services, and Summer Feeding Program. The intent was to provide staff & patients with a comfortable, inviting space infused with strong tribal identity through symbols, colors, and images. Colors on the walls and floors were used as wayfinding tools with a designated accent color for each department. With minimal windows within the space, well-placed lighting elements became an integral component in the overall functionality and visual enhancement of design.

The Eye Clinic included waiting & reception areas, testing rooms, exam rooms, a single restroom, janitor, storage, and office spaces. The Community Clinic included waiting and reception areas, exam rooms, isolation rooms with an ante room, medication room, lab room, treatment room, nurse’s station, janitor, single restrooms, storage, and office spaces. The Behavioral Health department included offices and storage. Unallocated Spaces to be utilized by all three departments include an open office space, large breakroom, restrooms, copy room, IDF room, conference room, biohazard storage, and electrical, mechanical, & janitorial spaces. The Summer Feeding Program was separated from the rest of the program to include space for offices, breakroom & conference room, restrooms, picking, packing, loading, and storage zones using the existing loading dock.
